Stampin' Up! Convention Swap Card By: Lois Folla

Hello Friends!

Yesterday I was working on a design for my first STAMPIN' UP! Convention Swap Card with my friend & wonderful downline member - Debbie.

I knew the card would be a Pocket Card, but I wasn't sure what I was going to 'put into the pocket'.  I have just about ALL of the Stampin' Up! Sizzix Dies we currently offer- so I had alot of choices to play with when planning out my design.

The final design is below.  I'll be making about 160 of these cards.

Materials Used:

Stampin' Up! Big Shot

Stampin' Up! Scallop Circles #2 Sizzix Die

Stampin' Up! Circles #2 Sizzix Die

Stamp Sets: Animal Stories, Family Phrases, Please Come, Party Hearty & Pocket Silhouettes  

Card Stock: Bermuda Bay & Melon Mambo (2010 In Color); Basic Black, Confetti White, Certainly Celery

Classic Ink: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery & Summer Sun

Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Sponge Dauber, Modern Label Punch

 

You Pull the Scallop Circle out of the pocket, turn it over and it's a Party Invitation.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2009 3D Swap

Hello Friends!

I'm excited to attend my 8th STAMPIN' UP! CONVENTION this August!  Tonight I worked on some 3D Swaps to trade.

So far I have about 150 card fronts 3/4 way done too!  When I have them finished I'll share them with  you.

My 3D Project this evening is - a cute little favor box.  I used flowers from various On Board Sets I have, Clear Rhinestones and a stamp from the stamp set called: Pocket Silhouettes.

Stampin' Up! Race Car Card

Hi Friends!

Vicky wanted to make birthday invitations for her son using an awesome 'but retired' stamp set that Danielle was so kind to let her borrow. (BTW - have YOU checked the Stampin' Up! Retired Lists yet!?!)

Vicky called me and asked if I could help her design a card. I LOVE doing this!   Below is what I came up with, for the front of the card.  Then she turned it into a cute invitation card:)

 

I must confess, I do not have this stamp set, I do not know WHY I didn't purchase it before it retried.  I do not have sons, but it's adorable and I do have nephews.  The back side of the card says 'Stampin' Up!' can you see it? 

So after designing and playing with this car for Vicky's card, I called Danielle up and asked if she could stamp me a full page of cars.  I want to make a card like this for my nephew Anthony.  He is turning 14 but still LOVES cars! 

Danielle being a doll - stamped up 20 cars for me!  So I'll be set for a little while... :)  Thanks again Danielle!

Stamper's Showcase - Kiki

Hello Friends!

Today I"m happy to share an adorable Birthday Gable Box created by: Kiki Inguaggiato.

Don't you think for her did an Awesome job on her first attempt at a 3D project?  Way to go Kiki!

The gift 'box' stamp she used is a BOLD Stamp, as opposed to a LINED Stamp (which you color in if you choose to).  It's a great choice & style of stamp to use on this particular box.

Here is my 3D project.  I was a little (okay alot) disappointed I did not plan my time wisely so I could dress up my Purse more with different colored cardstock accents.  But I did fill them with CANDY!

- Cardstock: Pixie Pink

-  Accesssories: Chocolate Chip marker (faux sewing); Designer Brads Circles, Paper Cutter, Sticky Strip

Sneak Peak of NEW Stampin' Up! Stamp Set Called: Animal Stories

Hello Ladies!

Funny story about the card I'm about to share with you.  I ordered my Sneak Peak Preview Stampin' Up! order with ALL the NEW 2010 In Colors Classic Ink Pads and refill bottles, Cardstock Regular and Textured in both sizes 8 1/2 x 11 & 12 x 12, NEW Designer Series Paper & NEW Stamp Sets... I've been working on charts but have not created one thing until today using the NEW Stamp Set Called: Animal Stories!

Why today do I decide to play with my NEW items!?!?!? 

Well, last month, I signed up for a new type of swap my second upline was offering.  Tina had anyone who wanted to swap and couldn't make her monthly meeting, let her know.  Those who were able to attend her meeting picked names out of a 'hat' to swap with those who couldn't attend the meeting. 

Long story short of it... I forgot to check back on our groups forum until yesterday!!  YIKES!!!!  The card was Due this week - and guess who PICKED MY NAME!?!?!?!? 

Oh YES... Miss Tina - Oh my... so I had to get my BUTT in gear and I was forced to PLAY!!!  WOO HOO.. She's such a mean mean upline.. tee hee  I love her to pieces!!! 

So Tina, here is what you will be receiving in the mail next week, since today is Friday:)  Love ya!!  See ya in SLC, UT at the Stampin' Up! Convention!!!!

OH BTW.. I will NOT name names... but I received an email the day I went to Tina's downline Forum to see who I needed to make a swap card for.... BECAUSE the person who picked ME last month...  emailed me apologizing her card was late getting to me!!!  HA!!!  Now if she was on time, then I would have been... so technically can I blame her!?!?!!?  LOL  I'm such a brat, I know :)

- NEW Designer Series Paper: Tall Tales

- NEW Punch: Modern Label (I made as a door on the front of the card)

Accessories: Paper Cutter, Scoring Blade, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals, 1/16" Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Ticket Punch

 

 

Now I need to clean up my mess and get back to my Business Tasks :)  But it sure was FUN playing with my NEW Stuff!

I really like this stamp set!  Not only am I going to make cards with it but fun scrapbook pages of my darling husband putting in our new kitchen and building our deck and and and... he's my handy man:)

Isn't this set, just the cutest! Kiki actually left the space where I have 'To the BEST Dad' blank, so we all could finish the 'type of card' we needed.  Wasn't that so thoughtful of her!?!? :)
