In our December Club Class I showed the Bleaching Technique... Anyone who has bleach and stamps can do this unique technique.
Our January Club Swap Theme was.. you've guessed it Bleaching
I learned some interesting things I'ld like to share with you about the Bleaching Technique:
You will get a different 'color' outcomes depending upon the type of beach you use
- There is liquid Bleach and
- Gel Bleach in a pen
both work well, but your results will vary.
Your results will vary depending upon how strong (old) your Bleach
- I started out using Bleach from my basement, and just to see if there would be a difference,
- I purchased a new bottle and
the new bottle was 'stronger' and I liked those results better.
Your results will vary depending upon the medium you pour your bleach on:
Believe it or not, what you pour your bleach on will also determine your results
- I first used a plastic stamping container (cut the top off) with a sponge in it. I soaked the sponge good and then stamped
- The next day, I used paper towels in the sample plastic stamping container, soaking the towels good as well, and then stamping
I received different 'colored' results. I believe the sponge and paper towel mediums mix differently with the bleach, hence the different results you get. BTW.... the bleach ate my sponge while I was working... ha ha ha.. Now I should have taken a photo of that, what was I thinking!?!?!?
Of course once I start something, I seem to have to make charts, or samples... you know more work for myself.. but in the long run, I have a great Sample Key Ring with all of Stampin' Up! Exclusive 48 cardstock colors and what color you get when you stamp in bleach!
